Previous discussion... /issued 331 am CDT Wednesday may 16 2012/

Discussion...
a weak frontal boundary was slowly sagging southward across Kansas
and Missouri early this morning. This boundary is expected to
become nearly stationary along/near the Oklahoma/Kansas and
Arkansas/Missouri borders today. To the south of the
boundary...eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas should see above
normal temperatures and increasing dewpoints this afternoon. Any diurnal
precipitation that may develop in relation to this boundary should remain
to the north of the County Warning Area.

Most of the region remains south of the boundary Thursday...with
the boundary retreating northward Friday as a warm front. Above
normal temperatures and breezy southerly winds are expected across the
region south of the warm front and ahead of an approaching wave
and associated cold front. Latest model consensus continues to
indicate that this next cold front should move into the region
during the Sunday night and Monday time frame and wash out over
the region Monday night and Tuesday. Will continue the current pop
configuration for Sunday and Monday with the better chances during
the day Monday. Temperatures look to be near normal for the start of the
next work week as the cold front moves in and then quickly rebound
back above normal again for the latter half of next week.
