Aviation...
00z tafs for kofk...koma and klnk.

Gusty south surface winds will be the primary concern through
Wednesday afternoon...along with when thunderstorms will develop.
South winds at 15 to 22kt and gusty will continue
overnight...decreasing to under 15kts at kofk after 12z as the
surface front approaches and later Wednesday afternoon at koma and
klnk. Included low level wind shear after 06z as h9 winds increase
to above 50kts. Thunderstorms expected to develop along and
behind a cold front pushes into far northeast Nebraska Wednesday
morning and into northeast Nebraska during the afternoon. Although
initially very warm temperatures aloft will hinder southward
development of the storms...may need to include thunderstorms and rain mention after
21z.

Discussion...

Wind Advisory will be cancelled early prior to forecast issuance
as only marginal wind conditions are expected through the
remainder of the afternoon and early evening.

A cold front was beginning to push into the western Dakotas at
19z and is expected to reach northeast Nebraska by Wednesday
morning. This system will bring an increasing chance of
thunderstorms to the area on Wednesday as it stalls out over
southeast Nebraska Wednesday evening. Locally heavy rain will be
possible over parts of eastern Nebraska Wednesday night with deep
layer saturation indicated by forecast soundings. The front drifts
slowly south into Kansas and Missouri on Thursday and Thursday
night with rain chances decreasing for the area. On Friday the
front begins to lift back north as a warm front with an
increasing chance of rain for the area once again. Warmer
temperatures are also expected to spread into southeast Nebraska
and southwest Iowa Friday afternoon and Friday night behind the
warm front.

The chance of thunderstorms will continue for the area into the
first part of the Memorial Day weekend as this complex surface
system gradually moves across the region. Another cold front is
expected to move through the area late Sunday and Sunday night
with another round of heavy rain and possible severe storms. Some
lingering showers or thunderstorms are possible early Monday
morning but the threat of rain will shift east and south of the
area by Monday afternoon.
