Discussion... 
as an upper trough pushes east across southern U.S. Plains today... 
strong zonal flow in southern stream will mix drier air downward 
resulting in decreasing cloudiness by afternoon western portions 
and into central portions during the afternoon. Mostly cloudy 
east of the I-35 corridor. Upper dynamics and low level convergence 
will be enough for developing showers...with a few isolated 
thunderstorms possible across eastern sections where instabilities 
will be greatest. Highs in the 60s. Clearing entire area tonight 
with light winds. Maybe some patchy fog east of the corridor late 
tonight with wet grounds...light winds and higher dewpoints. 
Increasing low clouds Tuesday in advance of the next system moving 
out over The Four-Corners. Highs Tuesday afternoon will be in the 
70s. Becoming cloudy Tuesday night with a low chance for showers 
mainly northern and western sections as a dry line bulges 
eastward across central and west central Texas overnight. The 
positively tilted short wave trough will zip across northern Texas 
and Oklahoma on Wednesday pushing the dryline/cold front into some 
rich dewpoint air. Showers and thunderstorms will develop along 
and ahead of the cold front as it pushes through the area 
Wednesday. Clearing and colder Wednesday night. Thursday...high 
level cloudiness will sweep east with a Dry Ridge at the surface. 
Highs Thursday from the 60s east to the low 70s south and west. As 
a split flow pattern develops Friday with an upper low moving into 
West Texas...a light overrunning rain pattern will commence with 
cyclogenesis along the coast. This pattern will continue through 
Saturday and with the upper trough pushing across The Hill Country 
Saturday morning...could see some mixed winter precipitation...but 
this is way too early to make definitive statements on this... 
timing and strength of the system will tell the tale...suffice it 
to say...this pattern bears watch for this weekend.
