Synopsis For The Suwannee River To Destin Out To 60 Nm
Synopsis
Winds and seas have subsided this afternoon from earlier elevated levels. The northerly winds will begin to pivot to the northeast tonight...and to a more southerly direction by Monday evening ahead of an approaching low pressure system. South winds should approach exercise caution levels Monday night and Tuesday with seas building into the 4 to 6 foot range. The extended period of time with elevated south winds Monday night and Tuesday should cause surf to build on Tuesday along Panhandle beaches...particularly along Walton and Bay counties. Some 4 to 5 foot surf will be possible. With strong onshore flow and building surf...some stronger rip currents will be likely on Tuesday.
