Caribou Highlands

Special Statement  Statement as of 5:37 am MST on February 1, 2015

... Mixed rain and snow expected in southeast Idaho Sunday night
through Tuesday night...

Change in southeast Idaho weather is expected the next few days
with moist flow off the Pacific moving inland. This pattern will
bring three small disturbances through this area.

The first disturbance will bring 2 to 5 inches of snow above 5500
feet tonight into Monday. Any accumulation should be limited to
less than an inch on the valley floors with East Bench areas of
the snake plain receiving 1 to 2 inches.

There will be a brief break late Monday morning into the early
afternoon before the next disturbance moves into the area Monday
afternoon through Tuesday. The third disturbance will move in
Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening. Expect breezy winds and
slightly higher snow levels with these two disturbances. Between
these two disturbances expect 5 to 8 inches of snow across the
central mountains and southern Highlands above 6000 feet. Look for
8 to 12 inches of snow across the eastern Highlands above 6000
feet. Lower elevations will likely just see rain throughout these
disturbances as snow levels stay elevated.
