* Timing... a wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet starting
Tuesday evening and continuing into Wednesday. Heaviest
precipitation expected during the overnight hours.
* Accumulation... ice accumulations of 1/4 to 1/2 inch are possible
through Wednesday. The main impacts are expected in the Hood
River Valley... east of Cascade Locks in The Gorge... and in
sheltered valleys below 2500 ft elevation in the Cascades.
* Impacts... significant ice accumulations from freezing rain
can make travel very treacherous or impossible. Ice can lead
to danger from falling limbs or trees. There is also
potential for numerous power outages.
