Air Stagnation Advisory  Statement as of 9:53 am PST on November 26, 2015

... Air stagnation advisory remains in effect from 9 PM this
evening to noon PST Monday...

An air stagnation advisory remains in effect from 9 PM this
evening to noon PST Monday.

Smoke dispersion will be poor through the end of Thanksgiving
weekend... owing to temperature inversions and long periods of calm
wind. As of Thanksgiving morning... air quality in Marysville was
already considered unhealthy for sensitive groups due to wood
smoke. Smoke dispersion will only become poorer over western
Washington through the weekend.

Conditions will be evaluated daily. It is possible the period of
air stagnation will extend beyond Monday morning. Burn bans have
already been declared for portions of western Washington. Check
with your local air quality agency for the status of burn bans in
your area.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

An air stagnation advisory indicates that pollution could
increase to unhealthy levels due to poor dispersion. Persons with
respiratory illness should follow their physicians advice for
dealing with high levels of air pollution. Please do your part to
keep the air in your community clean by heeding any burn bans in
your area.
