 High Surf Advisory  Statement as of 10:50 PM PDT on April 19, 2014


... High surf advisory remains in effect until 10 am PDT Sunday for
the South Washington and north Oregon coast...

A high surf advisory remains in effect until 10 am PDT Sunday.

* Seas: rapidly building to 17 to 20 ft around 11 PM tonight and
continue at this level through early Sunday morning. Seas will
then slowly subside through the day Sunday.

* Impacts: exercise extreme caution along beaches. Unpredictable
and destructive waves may wash over beaches... jetties and
other structures with no warning. Hazards increase during high
tides which are forecast to occur around 5 am and 7 PM Sunday.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in
the advisory area... producing rip currents and localized beach
erosion.
