Thursday...

A dense fog advisory remains in effect until 11 am PST Thursday.

* Visibility: areas of visibilities less than one quarter of a
mile.

* Timing: visibilities have improved in portions of the
Columbia Basin this afternoon but remain low in the Yakima
Valley and along I-84 in the Horse Heaven Hills.
Visibilities are expected to lower this evening and remain
through tomorrow morning before beginning to improve.

* Impacts: low visibilities will make travel difficult.
Motoristsshould slow down and be prepared for sudden
visibility changes. Temperatures may drop to near or below
freezing tonight and roads may become slick due to thin
deposits of ice from the fog.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
